NEW TO ROBOTICS? Try CUBELETS - the easy way to learn modular programming

Well if you don't have a clue how to program a robot or know what an Arduino microcontroller is then I have found the product for you.  It is a fun way for kids and adults to get into robotics without having to do much programming or assembly.  Cubelets attach to each other and then mix all their abilities in order to create a semi-atomatic robot.

Cubelets were created by a company called Modular Robotics.  The package is quite pricey and it only has 6 cubes.  Each cube performs different functions.  The cubes are categorized into action blocks, think blocks and sensor blocks.

I think you can only buy them at the official website and it is a kit that comes with 6 cubes and it will set you back $160.  The kit is a little pricey but it will save you hundreds of hours of programming and assembly. A great toy for kids and Lego Mindstorms fans.

Cubes available in the kit (KT06)
Drive  -  has wheels to move the cubes
                                Flashlight - Emits lights
Brightness - senses brightness using a photosensor
Distance - senses distance with infrared beams
Battery - powers up the cubes.
Passive - just a regular building block that doesn't do anything.
